The intro of a podcast is the first part of each episode, setting the tone and providing a brief overview of the episode’s content. A well-crafted intro establishes the brand identity, provides sonic branding (through music or sound effects), and helps new listeners quickly understand what the show is about. For maximum impact, the intro should include the podcast’s name, a quick synopsis of the episode, and perhaps some engaging audio elements like music or a hook.

Example: Many podcasts use signature intro music or sound effects that are instantly recognizable by their audience, like The Joe Rogan Experience intro song.

Use Case: Short, catchy intros retain listener attention and encourage them to stick with the episode.

Tools: Music licensing services (Epidemic Sound), audio editing tools (Audacity, Adobe Audition).
